The Colin cake has become a household name thanks to its popularity for children’s parties and even offices around the UK, with more than seven million sold since it was first introduced in 1990.

However, the cheapest cake delivery option is the chocolate Birthday Cake and Candles, which provides shoppers with a delicious chocolate fudge cake as well as a pack of candles with holders for just £10.
The new cake service follows other changes made by the supermarket to deal with the coronavirus crisis.
Marks and Spencer has closed all of its fashion and home stores, keeping only food halls open as shoppers look to stock up on essentials only.
The brand has implemented temporary shopping restrictions on certain items to prevent stockpiling, as well as making sure social distancing is possible in store.

The company has also adapted its opening hours so that key workers and vulnerable customers can shop safely and take priority in its food halls.
While many customers are still able to shop in store, the new cake deliveries will be good news for those who are trying to minimise their contact with others, as well as making it more convenient for shoppers to treat those having their birthday in lockdown.
The brand has also launched food delivery boxes in recent weeks, with packaged up essentials that customers can buy as a bundle.
The six new food boxes range from £15 - £45 and offer both vegetarian and meat options.

The range includes a Seasonal Fruit Box, a Meat Box, a Mixed Select Vegetable Box, a Mixed Vegetable Box, and two essentials boxes, one of which is vegetarian-friendly.
Shoppers were reportedly disappointed with the initial essentials boxes as it was deemed not to be healthy enough, but M&S has since added the fresh fruit and veg options to the range.
The chain has been making changes throughout lockdown to better serve its customers, as well as launching new products for summer, such as its new pink co*cktail in a can.
In a statement on its website, the brand said: “For over 135 years M&S, our customers, and the communities we serve, have faced challenges big and small and come through them all by supporting each other and working together. Now, as ever, the entire M&S team – across our stores, our support centres, our warehouses and in our supply chain – is working tirelessly to deliver for our customers.”
