Malteser Slice Recipe
Everyone loves this recipe because:

Ingredients
To make Malteser Slice, you will need:
- butter
- sweetened condensed milk
- cocoa powder
- plain sweet biscuits (like Arnott’s Marie biscuits or a plain sugar cookie or butter cookie)
- rice bubbles/rice crispies (or any puffed rice)
- Maltesers
- white chocolate
- coconut oil or vegetable oil (optional)

How To Make Malteser Slice
This recipe is as simple as 1,2,3,4...
Step 1: Melt the butter, sweetened condensed milk and cocoa
Step 2: Stir through the crushed biscuits, rice bubbles and chopped Maltesers
Step 3: Press firmly into the tin
Step 4: Pour over the melted white chocolate, top with Maltesers and refrigerate until set
How To Store Malteser Slice
Malteser Slice can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or frozen for up to 1 month. Note that the rice bubbles will soften over time.

How can I cut this slice neatly?
Use a small, sharp serrated knife to gently score through the chocolate layer and then use a large flat knife to press down through the base. Check out all of my tips for cutting slices in this post.
What are Maltesers?
Maltesers are a brand of malted milk flavoured crispy balls covered in milk chocolate manufactured by Mars. Hershey's brand of Whoppers can be used instead of Maltesers.
Can I make this ahead of time?
This slice can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 1 week or frozen for up to 1 month. If freezing, remove the slice from the freezer the night before you require it and allow it to come to room temperature before serving.

Ingredients
- 125 g butter
- 395 g sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tbs cocoa powder
- 250 g plain sweet biscuits like Arnotts Marie
- 2 cups (60g) rice bubbles
- 280 g Maltesers
- 200 g white chocolate
- 2 tbs coconut oil or vegetable oil/copha, melted (optional)
Instructions
Conventional Method
Line a 18cm X 28cm rectangular baking tray with baking paper.
Melt the butter, condensed milk and cocoa in the microwave on 50% power until melted. Whisk until smooth.
Crush biscuits in a food processor.
Stir the crushed biscuits, rice bubbles and 1 cup halved Maltesers (leave the remaining Maltesers for decorating the top of the slice) through the melted butter/sweeteened condensed milk and cocoa mixture. Mix until completely combined.
Press firmly into tray.
Melt the white chocolate and coconut oil in the microwave in 30 second bursts (50% power), stirring each time until smooth.Pour over slice.
Press the remaining Maltesers into the chocolate.
Store in the fridge for up to 1 week.
Thermomix Method
Line a 18cm X 28cm rectangular baking tray with baking paper.
Place the biscuits into the Thermomix bowl and crush on Speed 8 for 10 seconds. Set aside.
Place the butter, condensed milk and cocoa into the Thermomix bowl and melt on Speed 2, 50 degrees for 3 minutes (or until completely melted).
Add the crushed biscuits, rice bubbles and 1 cup of halved Maltesers.Mix on Reverse Speed 3 for 15 seconds or until completely combined.
Press firmly into tray.
Break the white chocolate into the Thermomix bowl, add the coconut oil and melt on Speed 2, 50 degrees, 3 minutes.
Press the remaining Maltesers into the chocolate.
Store in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Maltesers - Maltesers are a brand of malted milk flavoured crispy balls covered in milk chocolate manufactured by Mars. Hershey’s brand of Whoppers can be used instead of Maltesers.
Types Of Cookies To Use:You can use any type of plain sweet cookies for the base (like graham crackers if you’re in the US,Arnott’s Marie biscuits if you’re in Australiaor digestive biscuits).
Rice bubbles -you can use any brand of puffed rice in this recipe (rice bubbles, rice crispies etc).
Equipment -you will need a microwave, stove-top or Thermomix for melting the ingredients. You will also need a food processor, rolling pin or Thermomix to crush the biscuits.
