The Judge from Hell concluded last week and fans are already feeling the K-drama blues. The legal fantasy thriller series is equipped with a brilliant lead act by Park Shin Hye, alongside an equally terrific Kim Jae Young. The Judge from Hell — streaming on Disney+ Hotstar — is centred on Justitia (Oh Na Ra in a cameo), a notorious demon, who wrongfully sentences Judge Kang Bitna (Park Shin Hye) to eternal punishment. Justitia is exiled to Earth and inhabits the body of Kang Bitna after Bael (Shin Sung Rok), Hell’s second-in-command, punishes her. As Kang Bitna, Justitia has to let 10 remorseless criminals get away with murder by law and kill them herself within a year.
The ‘devil’ judge goes on a maniacal revenge killing spree, but finds herself butting heads with Han Daon (Kim Jae Young), a kind-hearted detective with a crazy sense of justice. While investigating Kang Bitna, his tragic past also comes to light as does a memorable enemies-to-lover romance.
